I entered the beauty industry straight after leaving school. Academically, I struggled with dyslexia and didn’t achieve the grades I had hoped for.
I was told my options were simple, hair or beauty, a decision that would unknowingly shape my entire future.
While studying, I worked part time as an estate agent to fund my college course, revising between house viewings in my car and spending evenings immersed in learning techniques online, determined to master my craft.
By the end of my course, I had passed every exam with distinction and won first place in a regional therapist competition. For the first time, learning clicked. Years working across spas, salons and alongside chiropractors allowed me to refine my expertise, before lockdown became the unexpected turning point in my career.
In the early days, I welcomed every client opportunity, travelling across London at all hours and celebrating even one or two bookings a week. Those small milestones meant everything and were the moments that helped me truly begin to envision the future of my business. Slowly, word of mouth grew and my diary filled. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to have built a loyal client base and to have collaborated with inspiring brands and familiar faces along the way.
Personal highlights include working at London Fashion Week with Alo Yoga and being featured in Vanity Fair.
I truly believe that when you discover what lights you up and commit to it wholeheartedly, the journey unfolds exactly as it’s meant to.
